EAST MEADOW, N.Y. — The LuminoCity Festival has commenced its annual holiday light exhibition at Eisenhower Park, transforming 14 acres of public grounds into a “Fantasy Winter Fairyland” display that runs through January 1, 2026. The immersive event, now in its fourth year at this location, features large-scale LED sculptures and collaborative projects with local cultural institutions.

More than 5,000 visitors attended the festival’s opening weekend following the November 7 launch, which was officiated by Nassau County Executive Bruce Blakeman. The 2025 edition of the festival utilizes millions of LED lights to create themed environments, including a 50-foot “Castle in the Sky” structure, which organizers describe as one of the tallest light sculptures in North America. Another prominent installation is a four-story Christmas tree situated within the park.

New to the 2025 season is the “Lumi Express,” a holiday train ride that transports passengers through tunnels of light and sound. The festival also includes the “Snow Dream Slide,” an attraction allowing attendees to glide through illuminated snow cloud displays. The event is designed as a walk-through experience, with various photo opportunities integrated into the lightscapes.

LuminoCity has renewed its partnership with the Long Island Children’s Museum for the “Lumi’s Utopia” initiative. This annual program selects art renderings created by young artists and fabricates them into bespoke three-dimensional light sculptures featured throughout the exhibition. Erika Floreska, President of the Long Island Children’s Museum, stated that the museum was thrilled to see the winning art renderings transformed into exhibits.

Xiaoyi Chen, founder and CEO of LuminoCity, emphasized the strong community ties fostered by the event, noting that the festival has become a regional tradition. Since its debut at Eisenhower Park in 2022, the festival has drawn more than 160,000 guests. Chinese Consulate General Deputy Director De Li, who attended the opening, characterized the festival as a celebration of art, culture, and creativity.

The festival operates primarily from Wednesday to Sunday, with closures on Mondays and Tuesdays until mid-December. The site will also be closed on Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve, and Christmas Day. General admission and VIP tickets are available, with specific entry times scheduled between 4:30 p.m. and closing hours.
