EAST MEADOW, N.Y. — The LuminoCity Festival has launched its 2025 holiday season at Eisenhower Park, opening a 14-acre immersive light exhibition titled “Fantasy Winter Fairyland.” Running from November 7, 2025, to January 1, 2026, the event features large-scale LED sculptures and artistic collaborations organized in partnership with Nassau County officials.
The festival, now in its fourth year, drew more than 5,000 visitors during its opening weekend. Since its inception at this location in 2022, the event has attracted over 160,000 guests. The 2025 installation utilizes millions of LED lights to create various nightscapes, including a 50-foot “Castle in the Sky,” which organizers state is among the tallest light sculptures in North America, and a four-story Christmas tree. A new attraction for the current season is the “Lumi Express,” a holiday train ride operating within the park.
LuminoCity has renewed its partnership with the Long Island Children’s Museum for the “Lumi’s Utopia” exhibit. This initiative transforms winning art submissions from young local artists into three-dimensional light displays. Erika Floreska, President of the museum, attended the opening, noting the collaboration brings children’s two-dimensional renderings to life as bespoke sculptures.
Nassau County Executive Bruce Blakeman, who emceed the opening ceremony, positioned the festival as a significant regional attraction intended to boost the local economy. Xiaoyi Chen, LuminoCity founder and CEO, stated that the event aims to foster community ties through a shared holiday tradition. The opening was also attended by De Li, Deputy Director of the Chinese Consulate General, who described the festival as a celebration of art and culture.
The festival operates primarily from Wednesday through Sunday, with closures on Mondays and Tuesdays until December 14. It will also be closed on Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve, and Christmas Day. General admission tickets range from $29 to $32 depending on the date, with VIP packages available.
