EAST MEADOW, N.Y. — The LuminoCity Festival has opened its 2025 “Fantasy Winter Fairyland” exhibition at Eisenhower Park in Nassau County, transforming 14 acres of public space into an immersive light display. The event, which launched on November 7 and runs through January 1, 2026, features large-scale LED sculptures and artistic collaborations designed to attract regional tourism.

Now in its fourth year at the East Meadow location, the festival showcases millions of LED lights arranged into themed environments. Key attractions for the 2025 season include the “Castle in the Sky,” a 50-foot light sculpture described by organizers as one of the tallest of its kind in North America, and the “Snow Dream Slide.” This year also marks the debut of the “Lumi Express,” a holiday train ride that transports visitors through the illuminated grounds.

According to organizers, the festival drew more than 5,000 visitors during its opening weekend. Since its debut at Eisenhower Park in 2022, the event has recorded over 160,000 attendees. Nassau County Executive Bruce Blakeman, who officiated the opening ceremony, stated that the attraction serves as a significant draw for families across Long Island and contributes to the local economy.

The festival continues its partnership with the Long Island Children’s Museum through the “Lumi’s Utopia” initiative. This program selects artwork submitted by young artists and fabricates them into three-dimensional bespoke light displays within the park. Erika Floreska, President of the Long Island Children’s Museum, noted that the collaboration allows children to see their two-dimensional renderings transformed into physical exhibits.

Xiaoyi Chen, founder and CEO of LuminoCity, highlighted the event’s role in fostering community ties in cooperation with local government. Chinese Consulate General Deputy Director De Li, who attended the opening, characterized the installation as a celebration of art and culture rather than a traditional light show. The festival operates with timed entry slots and includes general admission, VIP, and group ticket options ranging from $22 to $58.
